An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Supervising Social Worker to join our North fostering service. Your base will be at our office in Doncaster and you could be supporting our carers in and around the Leeds area. The role offers a hybrid way of working.
The ideal applicant will have experience of working with looked after children and foster carers, but this is not essential, as we offer an extensive training programme for all our staff. You will be joining an experienced team and will need to share our commitment to supporting our foster families who are passionate about turning children’s lives around.
You will have a manageable caseload and the support and resources to engage positively with foster carers and children.
Five Rivers works from a Trauma-informed (ATIC) model with integration across our fostering, residential, clinical and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.
You will be responsible for the following:
• Direct support of foster carers within a realistic caseload, which enables a high level of supervision, monitoring, and intervention.
• Working within a Trauma-informed practice model continually evolving in line with research and practice developments.
• Assist in undertaking initial visits to prospective foster carers.
• Assist in carer recruitment activities.
• Complete Form F Assessments following the relevant training.
• Be part of our Children’s and Young People’s Participation strategy and events.
• Work in collaboration with all colleagues and managers to achieve a high standard of service to foster carers and young people whilst meeting all Ofsted requirements.
• Taking part in our out-of-hours support to foster carers on a rota basis from home.
• Taking part in our daily duty service on a rota basis from the office.

Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people would be an advantage but not necessary. No formal social work qualifications are necessary, but an understanding of and empathy for the work required is necessary.
You need to be able to drive for this role and have access to a car, be flexible as you may need to work occasional evenings and weekends and be committed to therapeutic training.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapeutic Practitioner
In this new role you will offer therapeutic support our Fostering service. Your primary task will be to support our foster carers and team around the child with oversight from the Clinical Psychologist, and the Service/Team Manager.
This will include working with foster carers and colleagues from a therapeutically informed base to support their understanding of the impact of trauma and adversity. You will work with the team to agree and implement strategies to support children and young people to reach their full potential.
As a Fostering Therapeutic Practitioner, you will work alongside the team clinician and the management team in embedding Attachment and Trauma Informed Care (ATIC) approaches.

Role Requirements:
• Essential: Experience of providing intervention to families and/or young people in a therapeutic and trauma-informed environment
• Desireable: Social Work Degree; CQSW; Dip SW or equivalent including Social Work registration with Social Work England

Our Team at Beck Lodge
Our team will be a fully integrated team where you will be working alongside our Education and Clinical teams; we’re looking for experienced people to join our team.
Beck Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area and looks like any other detached, well-maintained home. A large, lawned garden and a spacious communal area allow the children (and us adults!) to play, have fun, and socialise all year round.
The house also enjoys good transport links, with plenty of opportunities for leisure pursuits in the local area, such as walking, climbing, farm visits and trips to the cinema or shops. We are looking for an Administrator to join our education administration team. This role will be based in our Field Gate School, Doncaster.
Reporting to the Education Business Manager, you will be providing full administrative support to the school ensuring compliance across all record-keeping and administrative tasks associated with running the education provisions efficiently and to the required standards.
You will also be covering the reception and other duties within the school when required.
Part of the role will be keeping records up to date for all children and the staff. Five Rivers Child Care offers an alternative educational provision to children aged 6 – 18 years old; our 1Ace provision provides 1-2-1 or small groups for children who cannot attend mainstream school.

Willow View School in Rochdale caters for very small class groups of children, promoting social engagement, with a trauma-informed approach. 1ACE Rochdale is our outreach alternative provision attached to the school for children who are not yet ready to access education in a classroom setting.

We have a number of small homes in and around Salisbury that provide care to both boys and girls aged 6 – 12 on admission. Part of the role involves some overnight stays in the home. You will need to do between 2 and 3 of these ‘sleep-ins’ per week, so the salary advertised includes the payment for an average of 8 sleep-ins per month. For each sleep-in, you receive an additional £50 per night - if you completed eight sleep-ins per month, that's equivalent to £4800 p.a.
You will need to have good written, verbal and IT communication skills, know how to have fun and understand the importance of play to children and have your Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent.
We will support you to achieve your Level 5 Qualifications. Ideally, you will have a full driving licence and be over 19.

Our team will be a fully integrated team where you will be working alongside our Education and Clinical teams; we’re looking for experienced people to join our team.
Beck Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area and looks like any other detached, well-maintained home. A large, lawned garden and a spacious communal area allow the children (and us adults!) to play, have fun, and socialise all year round.
The house also enjoys good transport links, with plenty of opportunities for leisure pursuits in the local area, such as walking, climbing, farm visits and trips to the cinema or shops. The role is hugely rewarding but often challenging, so we make sure we’re always there for each other when times get hard.
Hours
On average, 39 hours a week. You will be required to work 24-hour shift patterns and do, on average, two sleep-ins per week, for which you receive an additional £50 payment per sleep-in.

Willow View School in Rochdale caters for very small class groups of children, promoting social engagement, with a trauma-informed approach. 1ACE Rochdale is our outreach alternative provision attached to the school for children who are not yet ready to access education in a classroom setting.

We are looking for an Administrator to join our education administration team. This role will be based in our Field Gate School, Doncaster.
Reporting to the Education Business Manager, you will be providing full administrative support to the school ensuring compliance across all record-keeping and administrative tasks associated with running the education provisions efficiently and to the required standards.
You will also be covering the reception and other duties within the school when required.

We are looking for a Head Teacher to join our school Willow View in Rochdale. This is our ‘Good’ rated school by Ofsted.
You will be ready for the opportunity to provide leadership and management to our new school. Working alongside the Executive Head Teacher for the North, you will help promote outstanding performance, lead, and develop a new team. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapeutic Practitioner
In this new role you will offer therapeutic support our Fostering service. Your primary task will be to support our foster carers and team around the child with oversight from the Clinical Psychologist, and the Service/Team Manager.
This will include working with foster carers and colleagues from a therapeutically informed base to support their understanding of the impact of trauma and adversity. You will work with the team to agree and implement strategies to support children and young people to reach their full potential.
As a Fostering Therapeutic Practitioner, you will work alongside the team clinician and the management team in embedding Attachment and Trauma Informed Care (ATIC) approaches.

Role Requirements:
• Essential: Experience of providing intervention to families and/or young people in a therapeutic and trauma-informed environment

• Offer short term structured interventions to foster carers around therapeutic fostering practices under the supervision of the Assessment & Therapy Clinician as need arises.
