Benny’s Travels Begin

Hi Everyone  – Benny here. I can’t bear-lieve that I started my travels a month ago today!

I’m so excited to tell you what I’ve been up to since my last blog post. I’ve been travelling up and down the country spending a bit of time in a lot of different places and meeting lots of people. I’ve been sharing some photos of my travels on social media – I hope you liked them!

Benny Science LiveI began my travels in Salisbury, I visited the cathedral! It was a lovely place to start off my travels. After that I went all the way to Newcastle, where I visited the Angel of the North – it was VERY wet – I became a drizzly bear!

I also popped in to visit Five Rivers’ partner agencies, Safehouses Fostering, Foster Careline and The Fostering Company. I’m going to be spending some more time with them later in the year!

I’ve done so many exciting things, and sadly I can’t write about them all. But, here’s a quick look at some of my adventures!

Last Thursday, I went on my first ever school trip with the children at The Spires School in Salisbury. We visited the New Scientist Live exhibition in London. It was great to hear Tim Peake talk, and I sat in a Stealth plane, tried some cool experiments and SMELT the moon!

Science is super exciting and I can’t wait to spend more time with the children at The Spires.

I dropped in on the team at Park House school in Somerset too. I joined in with their CPR course. The children all got certificates – I got one too! Check out the pictures on Benny at Five RiversFacebook.

The Bristol Fostering team kept me SO busy when I visited them recently. I barely had time to have a cup of tea! I was super excited to be trusted to answer the phones, and I even helped with some crucial office upkeep tasks! See how professional I looked here. Bristol have invited me back anytime to help them stay on top of all of their phone calls, and they’ve said that I can help them recruit Foster Carers!

I went with the children at Fountain House to Leeds Light Night. It was great fun! I think I looked beary handsome in the pictures – what do you think?

All this merrymaking and travelling made me hungry, and I’ve found a new favourite snack! Jaffa Cakes – I got a bit overexcited though – they’re so moreish!

Remember to keep a look out for me on social media under #BennyTheBear and see what I’m up to next. See you in my next blog!

Love,

Benny
