Here at Five Rivers Child Care we are looking for Residential Childcare Workers to come and join our family at our home on the outskirts of Weymouth just 30 minutes from the town centre, with a beach nearby. The home is a home from home for a solo placement where our incredible team support our young person aged 7-17. Our aim is to provide an in-depth understanding of the young person’s life and how related patterns of behaviour affect everyday choices of how they live. As a team we believe this will support our young person to reach their full life potential. You will support potential foster carers through the form f process and panel process, undertake competence based Form F Assessments, work closely with other members of the Five Rivers Child Care Family Placement Service, return the completed Form F Assessment report and all supporting documentation to the company, complete the Form F Assessment within a timescale of between 12 -14 weeks and be submitted to Five Rivers Child Care for quality assurance process, complete all amendments/follow ups requests once the Form F Assessment has been vetted by Five Rivers Child Care and prior to presentation to one of Five Rivers Child Care Fostering service panels and present the family to the fostering service panel once all documentation has been signed off.
Essential Criteria:
- Recognised professional social work qualification. (DipSW or equivalent)
- Must have HCPC registration
- Knowledge of childcare legislation and other relevant legislation/initiatives pertaining to foster care.
- Experience of working within a fostering service
- Experience of undertaking competence-based Form F Assessments
- Willingness to work on a flexible basis, e.g. evenings and weekends.
- Ability to produce high-quality written assessment reports.
- Confidence and proficiency in presenting to Fostering Panels.

We are looking for someone who will always be thinking of the child, ensuring they are at the forefront of all decisions. Must be able to work as a team member to achieve best outcomes for the children, able to communicate with children and adults. Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people is essential. A formal social work qualification/s is necessary along with a Social Work England registration.This is fulltime role 37 hours per week, which could include weekends and after school hours. A full UK driving licence is required for this role. You will be expected to be part of the on-call rota and report to our office in Killingworth.

We are seeking to appoint a Supervising Social Worker Full -Time basis, to provide quality support and supervision to our Foster Carers throughout the Newcastle-Upon-Tyne area. Reporting into the office rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted, your role will be one of importance to the carers and children.
The position requires that the successful applicant is able to transport themselves around the area to undertake initial home visits, assessment visits, to provide supervision and support to our fostering families.
Responsibilities include:
- Contribute to and participate in local carer recruitment activities.
- Assist in undertaking initial visits, as required.
- Carry out stringent assessment and completion of Form F to a high standard, presenting reports to panel.
- Supervise and support allocated foster carers, and their placements, completing all necessary recording and reporting documentation.
- Actively promote, develop and deliver training programmes which support the development of our foster carers.
- Promote the agency externally ensuring that the agency’s policies to offer a professional, high-quality fostering service.
- Work in liaison with all Regional colleagues to achieve a high standard of service which meets all Ofsted requirements and delivers improvements and enhanced standards.
- Contribute to the Regional Business Plan regarding child/young person participation carer recruitment, carer retention and placement growth, in line with all targets and KPI’s.
We are looking for someone who will always be thinking of the child, ensuring they are at the forefront of all decisions. Must be able to work as a team member to achieve best outcomes for the children, able to communicate with children and adults. Experience of working in the fostering sector and/or children/young people is essential. A formal social work qualification/s is necessary along with a Social Work England registration.This is fulltime role 37 hours per week, which could include weekends and after school hours. A full UK driving licence is required for this role. You will be expected to be part of the on-call rota and report to our office in Killingworth.

Graduate Research Assistant
The position is to ensure Five Rivers Baseline innovative baseline assessments for children and young people are effectively managed and co-ordinated. This is a full time and permanent position.
In order to be considered for the role, you will need to demonstrate a Strong interest in Children in Care, Children with Trauma and Abuse. Well-read around relevant material would also be an advantage. You will need to be confident, and personable. You will need to be able to work on your own and as part of a team.
You will ensure the efficient maintenance (data collection, drafting of feedback reports etc.) of one of the largest research projects currently underway in the UK focusing on improving outcomes for Looked after children. You will need to demonstrate a good attention to detail in order to effectively analyse and assimilate of psychological information and maintain accurate records.
