Our South and South East Fostering team – recently judged ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted – are warmly inviting members of the local community to join them for a coffee and an informal chat about Fostering opportunities across the South of England. Upcoming events include:

24th April – Costa Coffee, Melksham, 12-2pm
26th April – Starbucks, Salisbury, 12-2pm & 5-7pm
2nd May – Costa Coffee, Dorchester, 12-2pm
15th May – Costa Coffee, Melksham, 12-2pm
19th May – Costa Coffee, Chippenham, 12:30-2:30pm
9th June – Costa Coffee, Melksham, 12:30-2:30pm
We are currently on the look-out for foster carers across the South. There’s currently a shortage of 480 carers in the south-west and more than 7,000 across the UK – the need to support young vulnerable people is more pressing than ever. You could be the person that makes an invaluable positive change to the life of a young person in the South.
We know fostering is a big topic to think about, and you’ll likely have lots of questions to ask and answers to consider before taking your interest further.
We provide extensive training and support to our foster carers – also reflected in Ofsted’s report. It states: “Foster carers experience an exceptionally high standard of training and support, [which has] a direct influence on the quality of care and support, and therefore has an effect on children’s and young people’s outcomes.”
