Friday 14 September 2018
On 31st January 2018, the Five Rivers Office in Bromsgrove was officially opened by Martin Leitch, Fostering Operations Manager. The event was attended by Five Rivers foster carers in the West Midlands as well as two prospective foster carers who the team is positioning for approval with Five Rivers in the next few months.
Staff members from the South West and wider fostering service also attended including David Baker Price, Head of Contracting and Service Development, and Johan Strydom, Fostering Operations Manager. The event was opened in child-centered style with those present introducing colleagues using paper aeroplanes with details of each attendee written on and shared. It was also an opportunity to acknowledge carers as part of the team and recognise the work they undertake. Carers present on the day were entered into a prize draw with Anita Eades and Janet Jones winning the much-coveted box of Extra Special chocolates and Next voucher.
Paulette Daugharty, Team Manager said,
“The numbers of carers we have on our West Midlands team is growing. Our service is expanding to provide the carers and children with the consistently high-quality support they need to turn children’s lives around.”
