Life Bloggers Series – Hate Crimes

Hate Crimes

What are they?

You’re probably wondering what a hate crime is, well basically, it is an act that someone does to someone just because they hate that person, or it could be just that the person could be a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

quote

What to do if you witness one

If you are at school and you witness a hate crime happening and you know the person committing it then tell the teacher. If you aren’t at school and you witness one and you know the person committing it then you can go onto a website and report the person doing it.

What not to do if you witness one

If you witness a hate crime happening, do not go up to the person committing it and tell him to stop because you could end up in danger. You should also not try to go straight up to the person and tell him that you are reporting them.
