Life Blogger Series: My Adventure with Brave

After school I was so excited because it was time I could finally get a hamster! So we drove to the pet shop it took about half an hour. Eagerly, I raced out my car and slammed the door behind me. As I ran in the shop I made sure my foster carer, Gerry was coming. I finally saw the Russian Dwarf hamsters and there were twenty baby hamsters. But there was one tiny runt that was being sat on by the others! I asked one of the shop assistant if I could have the hamster she said yes of course. She took her out and told me everything I need to know and checked the hamster over and said she was perfectly fine! She let me pet her too. I saw her put my new hamster in a small, green box. We walked back to the car with the box in my hands. When we got back I said “ Hmmm… I found a name for her!”

“what is it?” said Gerry.

“Brave” I said.

I saw a very strange mark on her back and was confused. But I did not worry and set up her cage and gave her food. That night I woke up at midnight to scratching so I walked to Braves cage in the dark and I saw a small glowing light! I saw Brave walk out of her little hut. She was glowing but only her paws and nose! I was shocked and wondered… Was the rest of the litter like this? How is she glowing? She clambered over closer to me and she seemed like she wanted to get out. So I took her out gently and I touched her paw and as soon as I did that she jumped out of my hands and I watched as she climbed up the bed and started to sit down. She started to get bigger until she was big enough for me to ride! So I climbed on her big, fluffy back and she ran so fast I almost fell off! She ran and ran until she suddenly stopped in a place where the trees were vast and had purple leaves! Brave started running so I ran after her and eventually she slowed down and stopped because there was something there! It was a tiny puppy! He was small and a light blue – ish pink and very fluffy!

He was really scared of us so I gave him my emergency snack block of cheese you never know when you need it! He soon came to trust me and was still a bit scared of Brave but we took him into our real world . And when we got back he and Brave have turned normal! Me and Brave hid the puppy and everything seemed normal… or was it?…
