Kate Portman
Clinical Practitioner
Psychotherapist
I have worked in health and social care settings for over 20 years, completing assessment and therapy with adults and young people. I specialise in working with complex trauma, personality disturbance and attachment disorder. I have also worked with teams and organisations to understand and manage the impact of trauma on individuals, families and teams, with the aim of enabling services and families to break cycles of intergenerational trauma.
Outside of working with individuals and teams I also teach and supervise CAT practitioner trainees, trainee psychologists and support staff to apply relational theory and attachment-based principles to care and support.
