Why Foster with Five Rivers?

Transferring with a Child

If you are fostering one or more children with another fostering agency or a local authority, you are still able to transfer to us. In most circumstances, the child will be able to transfer with you – it is very rare that they can’t.

The first stage of this process involves phoning up for an informal chat about the child’s circumstances. Once you have got to know us, and we have more information about the child in your care, we can begin to discuss transferring to us in more detail.

Pay & Allowances

As an independent agency and a social enterprise, we offer a highly competitive fostering allowance. For almost all Foster Carers, this will be tax free and will not affect benefits you may currently be receiving. Find out more about Foster Carer pay and allowances.
