Our dedicated South East team supports our children, young people and families across Sussex. As a region we cover many towns and cities, including Brighton, Eastbourne, Lewes, Chichester, Hastings, Horsham, and surrounding areas.

The number of children in need of foster care grows every year and it is our duty to help find these children and young people a safe, stable and caring home. With the need for foster carers in Sussex rising, we’re actively seeking both new and experienced foster carers to join our Five Rivers Child Care family.

By fostering with us, you will be joining an Ofsted Outstanding fostering provider. We’re also a ‘Social Enterprise’, meaning we are driven by social objectives and any surplus we make is reinvested into the services we provide.

We recognise the valuable role of a foster carer can have in shaping a child’s future. We also appreciate the challenges fostering can introduce to family life. That’s why we provide on-going progressive training for all our carers to develop new skills and knowledge. We also provide a high level of therapeutic childcare that is vital for our young peoples’ development.

Whenever you need us, we’re only a phone call away. We offer 24-hours support, 7 days a week, so that you always have access to the help and advice you need.

Our South East Office

We’re a team driven by a shared commitment to improving the well-being and future of our children and young people. Our Social Workers are positioned across our service area, providing local support and regular visits to our foster families. We’re always prepared to help our children and foster carers: whether we’re offering day to day advice or providing specialist support, it is our duty to help you become a confident, skilled and professional foster carer.

We offer a vast amount of industry experience and knowledge, but we also understand the importance of having fun. That’s why we arrange regular activities and events for our children, birth children, foster carers and families to enjoy. There’s always something to look forward to in the social calendar.
