Clannad Children’s Home Celebrates Outstanding Ofsted Rating Across All Areas

Clannad Children’s Home has been awarded Outstanding in all areas following its latest Ofsted inspection, where the report praised the home’s warm, nurturing environment and trauma-informed, child-centred approach to care, education and safeguarding.
The inspector commended the home for delivering “highly effective services that consistently exceed the standards of good” noting that the actions of staff “contribute to significantly improved outcomes and positive experiences for children and young people who need help, protection and care”.
The inspection highlighted the personalised care plans, strong collaboration, and thoughtful way that staff support children through transitions into foster care. Children were seen enjoying trusting relationships with staff, engaging in everyday activities and thriving in a setting that feels “like a real home”.
The leadership team at Clannad was described as “strong, reflective and ambitious” with a culture of learning and high energy that spreads through every aspect of the home. Staff were praised for their commitment, compassion and professionalism.
