Five Rivers receives Christmas donations from The Finlay Foundation

Thank you to Wiltshire-based charity, The Finlay Foundation for a generous donation of Christmas presents for the children who live in our residential homes.

The donated items included a selection of craft materials, games and toys, which will be shared amongst the children and young people in their care.

Five Rivers’ Head of Residential Services, Sarah Stefano, said “Thank you to The Finlay Foundation for their extremely generous donation of Christmas presents for our children and young people. Christmas can be an extremely difficult time for children and young people in care, and we pride ourselves on providing the children in our care with a happy and fulfilling childhood, offering them experiences which they perhaps haven’t had previously.

2020 has been an extremely difficult year for everyone, however, for many children in care, they’ve had to adapt their routines, which are crucial to creating an environment in which they feel safe and secure. We will be providing them with as normal a Christmas as possible, and are sure that the children will be grateful when they open the gifts on Christmas morning.”
