Elsa Ponce-Aguilar

Assistant Psychological Practitioner

Before my current role, I worked as a residential childcare worker at Five Rivers, gaining hands-on experience in trauma-informed care. Now, as an Assistant Psychological Practitioner, I conduct and score assessments, assist in treatment planning and support a multidisciplinary team in applying Attachment and Trauma Informed Care (ATIC) principles.

I also attend Integrated Case Management Meetings (ICMM), assist with psychological report writing, conduct sensory screenings, administer the Story Stem Assessment Profile (SSAP) and offer guidance to foster parents on how to meet the unique needs of the children in their care.

I am currently pursuing a BPS-accredited master’s degree in psychology, building on my degree from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. I’m passionate about neurodiversity and trauma-informed care, and I’m dedicated to supporting young people’s wellbeing while continuing to grow in the field of psychology.
