Lori Hudson

Assistant Psychological Practitioner

Prior to joining Five Rivers, I worked with adults in a forensic unit for several years. Through my work with adults, I became acutely aware of how adverse childhood experiences can have lifelong effects. This insight led me to focus my commitment on early intervention, ensuring children and young people receive trauma-informed support.

Before joining the clinical team, I worked for Five Rivers as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, gaining experience within an SEMH school setting. I developed a broad and well-established skill set in supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs by building positive, trusting relationships and a using trauma-informed approach. I worked closely with teachers and external professionals to deliver targeted interventions, support learning in and beyond the classroom, and promote emotional regulation.

In my role as an Assistant Psychological Practitioner, I am involved in the assessment process which includes scoring assessments, contributing to report writing and attending Integrated Case Management Meetings.
