Lynne Ryan

Clinical Practitioner

Psychotherapist / Clinical Practitioner and Training Co-Ordinator (Fostering)  / Senior Counsellor

I have worked therapeutically with children and families for the last 30 years, in a variety of settings including: local authority social work, charitable organisations, NHS, private and voluntary agency settings.

I have specialised in work with traumatised children and adults, with dissociation a particular interest and I am currently an active member of ESTD /ESTDUK (European Society for Trauma and Dissociation).

I am always curious about individual’s “stories” of how they came to be where they are, and especially how children, creatively adapt to their environments and adversities.

In my role as a Fostering Clinician and Training Lead in the Assessment and Therapy Team, my aim is to contribute to the ending of cycles of trauma and abuse – via a systemic approach to raising awareness, supporting carers and staff and developing and delivering training. I love to work creatively and enjoy translating theory into practice and sharing easily understandable psychoeducation materials. I am excited to be part of a trauma informed organisation, making a difference to children’s lives.
