Benny wishes you a BEARY Christmas

Hi guys, Benny here for the final time this year (and decade!) And what better way to end the year than to be involved in lots of Christmas fun? I’ve had a super-busy month getting Teddy for Christmas.

Before I share my Christmas fun so far though, I would like to congratulate D, who has been nominated for the school council. Well done!

I’d also like to thank everyone who entered this year’s Christmas Card Competition. I loved all the designs so much that they inspired me to make one of my own!
Now, onto my Christmas fun!

Last week, I was lucky enough to have been invited to the Head Office Christmas party and the Christmas Party at the London Fostering Office. I discovered my new favourite snack: camemBEAR!

I was thrilled to receive a Christmas jumper as an early Christmas present. I wore it on Christmas Jumper Day, Friday 13th December in support of Save the Children.

This month, I’ve been quite a busy bear helping to decorate Christmas trees and going to recruitment events to meet people interested in working with Five Rivers, but I have had lots of treats too like going to Disney on Ice with one of the Five Rivers foster families, thanks for inviting me! I also went to Winter Wonderland in London and I’ve been on a Nutcracker hunt in Salisbury to get even more festive!

My favourite adventure of the month was the Camel Trail in Truro where I supported the young people in Truro on their bike ride. They raised over £40 and will be sending gifts to children in hospital over Christmas!

Another wonderful cause that I got to help with was BEARing gifts for the FSCI Christmas Box Appeal.
