Five Rivers Child Care are the Spire FM War of the Works Champions for 2017!
We are delighted to have been crowned War of the Works Champions for 2017. The competition, run by Spire FM, runs on weekdays, with two local businesses each answering ten questions a day to win a pizza at the end of the week.
Five Rivers first played back in January 2017, scoring an astonishing 44 points over the week, and remained at the top of the leaderboard for the remainder of the year, before being invited back to play in the Champions League in December.
Competing against Milford House Care Home, we nearly matched our initial score, getting 43 points, and winning ourselves a place in the final.
Five Rivers played against Honeypot People in the grand final and eventually won the competition with 43 points over the week, winning the trophy, a hamper, and some pizza in the New Year.
Team Captain, Lucy Boland said “We’ve really enjoyed participating in War of the Works. We played against some very strong teams and are absolutely delighted to have been crowned the champions. Most importantly, we’ve been able to talk daily about Five Rivers Child Care and the wonderful work our staff do throughout UK and Ireland to support some of the most vulnerable children. As for next year, we will certainly be entering again!”
