Five Rivers shines with Silver Award for Investors in People

Share

Growing Salisbury-based social enterprise, Five Rivers Child Care Ltd has achieved the prestigious Silver status in the ‘Investors in People’ accreditation, which recognises outstanding management, communication and training within organisations. Applicants from every sector from 75 countries across the world seek Investors in People (IiP) accreditation annually, but only 6% of them gain the coveted Silver status or above.

Pam McConnell, founder and chief executive officer of Five Rivers said;

“The award is a credit to all the people at Five Rivers who took the time and effort to attend IiP interviews and talk about the work they do to constantly improve our fostering, residential, education and clinical services for vulnerable children in England and Northern Ireland.

“Achieving the Investors in People Silver standard is something that any organisation should be truly proud of. It is the sign of a company which is very committed to developing a rewarding, learning and progressive culture.”

To achieve the initial Investors in People status a company or organisation has to meet tough standards in the way they train and develop their people. In achieving silver status, Five Rivers achieved an advanced level or above in five out of the nine indicators. The social enterprise is now working towards the IiP Gold Standard.
