Job title: Sessional Residential Child Care Worker

How long have you worked at a Five Rivers residential care provision?

Since it opened in 2014! I was one of the original staff members, nervously sitting in a room full of strangers wondering what was in store for me. I’m proud of what we have achieved in less than four years!

What’s the best thing about your job?

I’ve really enjoyed watching the young people grow and progress, slowly but surely during the time they live here. I’ve also enjoyed the camaraderie and the learning that the staff and young people have shared together since we began.

Tell us something fun about you:

I like to strap a wooden plank to my feet and ride it down hills – also called “Snowboarding”. I recently went to Glenshee in Scotland and had a great time in the mountains there.
