We are recruiting for a Residential Team Leader to join our Homes in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
Our homes cater for Children aged 7 – 14 on admission. You will work with an experienced team in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

Your role as residential Team Leader will be varied and interesting while following a planned structure, so you know what to expect. You will support our young person to learn healthy routines, take them to appointments, help with schooling, complete household tasks, and update current electronic records. As a team leader, you will also be supporting the leadership team in developing the newer members of our team, taking part in supervision and career development.
We aim to ensure our children are safe, well-parented, and raised in a happy home where they can flourish, learn, and give back the childhood they deserve. We create positive memories through laughter, fun, and love to help reduce challenging behaviours by teaching better ways to cope.
Our practitioners are experienced in working with children who have been traumatised by their past and understand the impact that parental rejection has on emotional development and needs.

You must hold your Level 3 to be eligible for this role
Hours
On average, 39 hours a week, which typically includes two sleep-ins per week, for which you receive an additional £50 payment per sleep-in.

As a Children Support Worker, you will be involved in events and activities including:
Part of the role involves some overnight stays in the home. You will need to do between 2 and 3 of these ‘sleep-ins’ per week, so the salary advertised includes the payment for an average of 8 sleep ins per month. For each sleep-in you receive an additional £50 per night - if you completed eight sleep-ins per month, that's equivalent to £4800 p.a.
You will need to have good written, verbal, and IT communication skills, know how to have fun, and understand the importance of play to children.
We will support you to achieve your Level 4 Qualifications. for this home you will need to have a full driving licence and access to a car due to the location of the home and be over the age of 19.

Our school is growing; we are looking for Secondary School Teachers to join our school in Ilford. You will be working with an experienced team and in a culture where children are respected, listened to, and involved in as many decisions as possible.

We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to work in our North service based in our Doncaster office covering carers in Doncaster, and Lincolnshire.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with some work completed from home, face-to-face meetings with foster carers across Lincolnshire. You would join a thriving and growing community of foster carers and a team of staff with a strong, welcoming, and child-centred ethos.
Five Rivers works from a Trauma-informed (ATIC) model, integrating our fostering, residential, clinical, and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people. Teams are supported by a psychologist and a therapeutic practitioner, who are also foster support workers and business support coordinators. This, alongside manageable workloads, means social workers have the time and resources they need to provide high-quality support to their foster families.

You will directly support our foster carers with realistic caseloads, which enables a higher level of supervision, Monitoring, and intervention. As a supervising social worker, you will be working within a trauma-informed practice model that is continually evolving; you will support recruitment events and complete Form F Assessments.
A supervising social worker needs to be a team player and want to achieve the best possible outcome for all our foster carers and children. You will need to be registered with Social Work England and have a formal social work qualification.
The role also requires you to have access to a car for completing visits and the right to work in the UK.

An exciting opportunity is available to join our service in the South & South East as a Fostering Engagement Social Worker, to help develop our Fostering Service in the region in recruiting and assessing new Foster Carers and to support their professional development in their role.
The post holder will require creativity, flexibility, and the ability to travel within the service area to plan and deliver recruitment events to expand our Foster Carer capacity to provide high-quality foster placements for children.
You will work with and be supervised by the National Carer Recruitment Manager and the local Fostering Service Manager who will also support you to meet the aspirations we have to grow our service footprint across the region.
You will have experience of either
• Working within a Fostering environment either with an IFA or in the Local Authority and a proven track record of completing Initial Home Visits for prospective applicants, and Form F Assessments within agreed timescales and presenting these at panel (Qualified Social Worker)
There are no case-holding responsibilities in this role.
You will need to be able to evidence you have a flexible, creative, and dynamic approach to researching and facilitating a range of recruitment opportunities.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Placements Officer on a Maternity Cover basis to join our Placements Service at Five Rivers, a leading Social Enterprise who has been “turning children’s lives around” since 1989.
This position will be preferably based in either our Bristol or Salisbury Office. Other Five Rivers offices are available where suitable. The specific office base will be agreed during the recruitment process. All Five Rivers fostering services are rated Good with Outstanding features by Ofsted.
Five Rivers Fostering Services has grown significantly, this is mirrored in the significant increase in the number of national referrals. We are committed to ensuring that out Placements Service has the structure to ensure we enhance opportunities to increased numbers of placements and build on our quality relationships referring authorities. As the Assistant Placements Officer, you will be integral to the Placements Teams in working closely with all of the fostering teams to ensure that high quality responses to referrals are received by Local Authorities in a timely and effective manner to maximise the opportunities to place children, young people and families with our Foster Carers.
You will be supporting the Placements Officers in both preparing information and processing all incoming referrals from placing authorities and liaising closely with social work teams to match young people referred with foster carers. Processing financial arrangements and data reporting is part of this role to agree placement fees and ensure that additional placement support is negotiated and agreed with our Local Authorities.
Five Rivers works from a Trauma informed (ATIC) model with integration across our fostering, residential, clinical and education services to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Follow up regularly with Social Workers and Carers appropriately for a progress update and ensure all timescales are met
• Request additional information from referrers when and needed before matching is completed and feedback on any issues
• Complete all placement “Start” of new placements paperwork
• Assist local offices, if necessary, with “Stops,” internal moves and ongoing external respite
• Be involved in carer recruitment process & induction of newly approved carers, e.g., physical recruitment event or regional virtual session.
• Maintain regular and agreed contact with carers who are without placements.
• To liaise with Carer Recruitment Team to ensure that carer profiles and welcome books are available at the point of approval
• Maintain an updated and current foster carer profile database
• To work with the Placements Officer to maintain carer’s availability and other related referral data and compile reports when and as required.
• To follow up on unsuccessful offers with Local Authorities and maintain a record of reasons.
• To assist Senior Placements Officer with completion of various framework agreements
• Daily reconciliation of referrals.
• To provide cover for any Placements Officer absence.
• Any additional administration tasks or projects that may be required by the business
• To build good relationships with Foster Carers, Social Workers, Commissioners

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supervising Social Worker to join Five Rivers Child Care and to be a part of the continued development of the South and Southeast Service based in Salisbury. We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker, who can work on their own initiative alongside the Service Manager and Team Manager. You will be based from the Registered Office in Salisbury, with flexibility for working from home days as well as attending face to face meetings with Foster Carers in their homes.
The post holder will need to be creative, flexible, and willing to travel. Ideally you will have experience of working within the Fostering Sector, either with an IFA or in the Local Authority. Having the necessary skills and knowledge to enable the completion of Initial Home Visits through to Form F Assessment and presentation at an Independent Panel will be required. The role will include holding a caseload of Foster Carers, as well as being a part of the service recruitment strategy seeking out opportunities to engage with perspective candidates who may wish to become approved Foster Carers.
Five Rivers works from an Attachment Trauma Informed Care Model (ATIC) with integration across our Fostering, residential, clinical and education provision to achieve the best possible outcomes for young people. The role will involve working with the services Clinician and Therapeutic Senior Practitioner to ensure support services are tailored to the individual needs of the children, young people, and Foster Carers we look after. This also includes Reflective Practice sessions provided to the Social Work Team, so they are supported and equipped to deliver these services.
