Sisters from Bournemouth jointly foster sibling group to stop them being split up in care
We were thrilled to see two of our foster carers, Dominque and Roxy, interviewed on BBC South Today on Monday (28 February)!
Ahead of the BBC documentary, Split Up in Care: Life Without Siblings, airing on BBC Three on Thursday (10pm), we saw an opportunity to share some of the creative ways our fostering teams go above and beyond to help keep siblings together when it hasn’t been possible to place them in the same household. Dominique and Roxy are sisters who both foster and jointly care for a sibling group. The children, although they don’t live together, see each other every day and spend weekends together as one big family!
This is a great example of the Five Rivers’ fostering team working with the local authority to deliver the best outcomes for children.
Well done Dominique and Roxy!
