The Five Rivers Child Care Fostering Service has provided excellent care for thousands of children since 1989 and at any one time supports more than 450 children, young people and families throughout England.
We are expanding to meet the growing numbers of children needing foster care: to achieve this, we recruit and support both new and experienced foster carers and train them to deliver the level of therapeutic childcare that is essential for our young people to thrive.
Our standing is reinforced by being a ‘Social Enterprise’; Five Rivers is driven by social objectives and any surplus we make is reinvested into the services we provide. In turn, foster carers who choose to work with us can rely on an organisation with a clear focus: the well-being and future of children who need us.
Our foster carers are trained and supported to deliver the authoritative, committed, consistent and sensitively-attuned parenting style which supports young people to achieve positive outcomes. They undertake additional training in therapeutic child care, achieving a range of nationally accredited qualifications.
