Field Gate School receives a GOOD Ofsted result!
Our Doncaster-based school, Field Gate, has achieved a ‘GOOD’ result following its first-ever Ofsted inspection.
Field Gate offers trauma-informed education for 15 pupils with a range of needs including ADHD, autism, developmental trauma, sensory processing difficulties, dyslexia and attachment difficulties.
The Ofsted report recognises the exceptional quality of work and dedication of the teachers and staff in delivering “a bespoke vision of how to provide accessible learning for all pupils”
The report goes on to say how “Leaders and staff are highly ambitious for every pupil. Leaders are passionate that pupils, many of whom have struggled in education previously, participate fully and do well in their learning.”
Field Gate School provides small classes, allowing children a tailored learning experience which helps them to reintegrate into mainstream school. The report’s statement that “pupils are proud of their school” and “are keen to talk about what they do and what they have learned” demonstrates what a special school Field Gate is.
“It’s difficult to put into words how proud I am of this result; I am in awe of our team’s accomplishments,” says Field Gate’s Head Teacher Sarah Weston. “The team share the Field Gate School aspirations, which enables us to drive high standards and expectations. I am so excited to keep building on our achievements and supporting the company’s vision in turning children’s lives around. At Field Gate School- Together we GROW!”
