Five Rivers Children’s Home, Clannad, receives a GOOD Ofsted result!
Great news for Five Rivers Children’s Home, Clannad, who received a GOOD Ofsted rating following their recent inspection!
This Ofsted report recognised the exceptional quality of work and dedication of the caring staff who help to give children brighter futures.
Published earlier this month, the report shared how “The trusted and positive relationships between staff and children are a strength of this home. Children said that they feel happy and safe living in their home.”
Clannad provides a safe, homely environment and specialist trauma-informed care for children with complex needs. Care staff and psychologists work one to one with children to establish positive relationships, good communication and healthy routines.
The report went on to praise the progress of the children living at Clannad, “The therapeutic and child-focused care provided to children helps to improve their emotional well-being and self-esteem. Staff know the children very well and work hard to support them if they become distressed. One parent said that the home has ‘done an amazing job, not just in education but with my child’s emotional needs’.”
Reflecting on the report, Regional Operations Manager Tim Mathews said, “This is another fantastic outcome for the home. I feel the report reflects the home’s integrated approach and leadership that has been instrumental in achieving positive outcomes and notable highlights throughout.
It continues to be an honour to work closely with the home and manager, with the leadership taking a key approach to ensuring adults have the support and resources to overcome challenges and continue to develop. This is reflected in the outcomes for the children, who benefit from the consistent and established relationships the home provides.
The manager shows a clear understanding of the progress that has been made in the home and, alongside the home’s Deputy Managers, they provide an inspirational and developmental approach which is highlighted in this Ofsted inspection, reflecting inspirational and clear leadership.
The Ofsted inspection is a fantastic achievement and celebrates the outcomes and ongoing progress of the home and their impact in turning children’s lives around. The home continues to focus on further developments and progress towards striving for an Outstanding grade.
Clannad is a pleasure to work with and support; seeing the development and response to building on what is a true family culture, and seeing the ability of the team to reflect, adapt, and support each other has been incredible.”
Well done, Clannad!
