Fountain House wins ‘Children’s Home Team of the Year’ award at CYP Awards 2020

We are delighted to share the news that our Leeds-based children’s home, Fountain House, received the award for ‘Children’s Home Team of the Year’ at the 2020 Children and Young People Awards, held in Birmingham on the 29th July 2021.

The home, which was nominated back in 2019, provides Attachment and Trauma-Informed Care© to six children aged 6-12, who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect. Fountain House has been rated as ‘Outstanding’ for three consecutive years, and has an on-site school and psychologist.

Fountain House were crowned as winners after sharing details about how they work together to turn the lives of the children they look after around.

Collecting the award on the night was Chelsea Bryan, Registered Manager of Fountain House at the time of nomination, and now Registered Manager of The Orchard, and Chelly Langley, Senior Residential Child Care Worker at the home.

Of winning the award, Chelsea, said:

“I’m so proud of all of the Fountain House team. Everything we do at Fountain House has the child at the heart of it. The team’s level of commitment to our children and young people is incredible – as demonstrated recently by the 16-day isolation, and the personal sacrifices many of the team made in order to care for our children.

This award is testament to the incredible work they do in supporting our children and young people to have a brighter future.”

The awards, which were held at The International Convention Centre in Birmingham, have been delayed numerous times due to the ongoing pandemic, and brought together some of the best people within the children’s social care sector.

Many congratulations to the Fountain House team!
