Five Rivers Child Care named Childcare Large Employer of the Year at Paragon Skills Apprenticeship Awards
We have been awarded the prestigious Childcare Large Employer of the Year Award at the inaugural Paragon Skills Apprenticeship Awards 2022.
The Paragon Skills Apprenticeship Awards ceremony was held virtually on Friday, 11 February, during National Apprenticeships Week (7 – 13 February) and was attended by individuals and organisations in the social care, childcare, and professional sector to celebrate their contribution to apprenticeships over the past year.
The Childcare Large Employer of the Year Award celebrates the work of organisations who invest in apprenticeship programmes, training, and development. There were two finalists in the Childcare Large Employer of the Year category that were nominated by Paragon Skills. Following the nomination, an in-depth interview with the judging panel took place virtually with our Learning and Development Manager, Karen Williams, who discussed our apprenticeship programme and its successes.

Five Rivers Child Care offers a variety of apprenticeships to staff throughout the organisation in partnership with Paragon Skills. Apprenticeships include Data Analyst, Resourcer, Administration, Coaching, Learning and Development Practitioner and Children and Young People Families Practitioner and Manager. In addition, Five Rivers also offers a full calendar of learning opportunities including skills and management training, and courses include trauma and attachment training to dealing with difficult conversations and assertiveness.
