Endeavour House School

Endeavour House School

  • Location: London
  • Gender: Male & Female
  • Age Range: 6 – 18
  • Capacity: 15
  • Ofsted Rating: Good

Endeavour House School is a special educational needs school (SEN) that has a unique, relaxed and focused atmosphere. It is a vibrant community providing specialist education for vulnerable pupils unable to sustain a mainstream placement. Our goal is to create a learning environment where emotional well-being and academic success walk hand-in-hand, enabling each child to succeed. The children are embraced in a supportive environment that equips them with the tools they need to achieve their full potential.

“This is a welcoming and friendly school where pupils feel valued and safe. Pupils are supported well by staff and as a result are happy to come to school.” – Ofsted 2022.

Endeavour House School is open for day pupil referrals.

At Endeavour House School, the children will benefit from academic excellence and experienced staff who know how to support and challenge them to achieve their goals. This is done through:

  • High expectations for all children
  • A rich, broad and balanced curriculum, catering to children’s individual needs
  • Evidence-based practice to inform the teaching and learning process
  • Supporting the emotional development and overall well-being of the children
  • A wide range of challenging activities that will stimulate, engage and motivate the children to learn

Classrooms that deliver a personalised learning experience

Endeavour House School has classrooms fitted with modern technology, an outside learning area, a garden space and play areas. Within classrooms, there are two private study stations with a desktop computer. The stations enhance the personalised learning experience of the children. The children will engage in a variety of enrichment activities, both inside and outside of the classroom, aimed at supporting them emotionally, socially, physically and academically.

Inside the classroom, there are:
  • Desks for classroom activities
  • Personalised timetables
  • A large flat-screen TV and a large whiteboard, both for teaching purposes
  • Multiple storage facilities for the pupils’ workbooks and various teaching resources

The space, equipment, timetable, and environment are purposefully designed and tailored to create a personal learning experience for each child. The classrooms are language-rich, as they display the learning journey of the pupils. Children’s learning and progress is celebrated, communicated and displayed throughout the school.

Endeavour House School is set up as a trauma-informed school

Endeavour House School is set up as a trauma-informed school and will be working towards the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive Award, as per our other schools at Five Rivers Child Care. Children will be fully supported to address previous trauma and supported to build a future that will enable them to be fully functioning, effective members of their society.
